Synopsis

On the shores of a spring-fed lake off Sunset Boulevard, the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine has offered silence and refuge to people of every faith since 1950. When wildfire crowned the ridgeline above it, the monastics were ordered to evacuate — and the fate of the Gandhi World Peace Memorial, the Windmill Chapel, and the gardens was left to the flames.
